    Format:

Weekly, one-hour talk / interview show, featuring 2-4 guests. Listeners emails are read on-air; however, the show does not accept telephone listener call-ins. Guests are encouraged to appear live in-studio (San Francisco), but can also join in by phone. Publicists are encouraged to review the show archives prior to pitching. Guests are chosen to represent a diversity of perspectives.

    Distribution:

Live webcast on Wednesdays (10-11 am PST), and subsequently available to affiliate stations as pre-recorded. Check website for updated list of affiliates. The show reaches thousands of listeners across North America via traditional radio stations, satellite radio, webcasting and (soon) podcasting. Shorter segments, under the "Earth News" and "Icicle Minute" brands, are rebroadcast on the CBS Radio Network and Armed Forces Radio. Shorter 90-second news clips are in development.

    Audience:

Beyond Organic reaches every sector of American society, including policy makers, government officials, journalists, community activists, farmers, educators, corporate leaders and business professionals. Journalists monitor topics and guests featured on the shows, often resulting in spin-off stories and articles in outlets ranging from Organic Products Retailer and the San Jose Mercury News to National Geographic.

    Alliances:

Beyond Organic was created by Straus Communications (www.StrausCom.com), and is produced in association with Icicle Networks (www.iciclenetworks.com) and the Environmental News Network (www.enn.com). The project's fiscal sponsor is Media Interchange, a 501(c)3 dedicated to environmental education and training.
