    Factory Farms



    According to a recent document released by the American Public Health Association, 54 percent of U.S. livestock are concentrated on 5 percent of the livestock farms. Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations or CAFOs, as these concentrated farms are called produce about 575 billion pounds of manure a year. What are the human health and environmental impacts of these concentrated farms? Are CAFOs here to stay?
